CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY

INCREASE RETURN-ON-INVEST OF RENTAL FLEET

We have equipped a fleet of 300 construction machines with QS-5000 units and integrated it with the telematics system preinstalled by the producer of 150 further machines. All data are normalized and consolidated in a data warehouse then made available to existing IT-systems via an interface. The data enables the invoicing of additional usage, for example, on weekends and holidays.

To support the planning and disposition of trailers without an on-board power supply, QS-5000 units are applied. In this use case, the battery life is over four years. The vehicle planner can quickly take decisions based on the real-time location and actual utilization of the trailer. Another added value is the improved theft protection.

A supplier in the snow clearing business uses our system for automation of billing and documentation. Within this context, machine hours are automatically assigned to individual work sites by combining location and usage data. The usage of a spreading machine can also be detected and documented.
